Note to self

When trying to work out the best course of action in a scene, stand back and let the characters decide.

Any other approach, invariably leads to forcing them to do things that are out of character.

I really should know this by now.

And this is why writers are crazy: we create characters in our mind, and then they do things we don't expect.

Great note, thanks for reminding me too.

I've recently decided the reason I had no friends as a child was because I had too many voices in my head. Dang characters won't shut up.

If I stop to think about it, it's a bit weird that something that is apparently just my thoughts can act like an invidual. But then I stop thinking about it :)

I think the friends in my head where the better ones when I was a kid. Certainly more cooperative (I seem to have lost THAT in growing up).
